I never stop to think about how my upper cervical spine can effect so many things. It’s quite amazing how it can be life changing for you. I’ve seen three doctors in this practice and they were all caring and excellent. I am very complicated and usually if there is a chance something will go wrong, it will happen to me! Upper Cervical has saved me many times for many different challenges. Two years ago I couldn’t stand without my SI joint going out and making me almost collapse after an injury. I tried everything for months and was all but bed bound. Upper Cervical alignment gave me stability and reduced my pain. I stopped going when it didn’t seem necessary and moved on with my life. Then last year after finishing Invisalign, I developed horrible jaw and facial pain. It was like all the muscles were at their limit of exhaustion and it was horrifying. I spent months feeling trapped by this pain going over and over to the orthodontist where he sold me different gear and kept adjusting my bite. I went to a second and third doctor and was looking at surgery and thousands in expenses. By the last adjustment my bottom jaw was literally hanging to the side and I’d have to swing it up and over to bite. I couldn’t sleep at all from the pain and I was terrified. As I lay there I wondered if Upper Cervical would help. Luckily they got me in as a former patient, took x-rays and yes, I had gone out of alignment in a new pattern thanks to the movement of my jaw. They did the adjustment and in less than 24 hours I was 100% pain free. I truly believe they saved my life as I was becoming so desperate. A puff of air saved me from pain, surgery and insanity. I should have written a review a long time ago, but here we are. I’ve continued check in appointments since my jaw issue and have been doing great. Then I got my first COVID vaxx in January after almost dying last year. I put it off because I have an inflammatory condition of the spine called chemical arachnoiditis from an epidural. The leading expert did not recommend vaccination. But when you almost die you think it’s the thing you must do. After my vaxx every condition I ever had flared up badly, very badly. But when everything else had calmed down over the last 6 weeks I noticed that in the last week the origin spot of my spinal cord disease has been getting worse and worse. I had $40K in stem cells for this condition and live mostly pain free. So seeing it amp up to it’s pre-stem state has been so scary. I’ve started thinking I need to quit dancing, been trying to figure out how to pay for more stem cells, sleeping with lidocaine patches, not wanting to get out of bed due to the pain, feeling depressed and scared… I never imagined I might have lost my alignment and that it could be causing this pain! But today was my monthly checkup. I almost cancelled because my jaw didn’t hurt and I figured I had bigger issues. Thank goodness I went! I was out of alignment, my legs were different lengths, which I’m sure doesn’t help back pain at all. It has only been 8 hours since my alignment but I won’t need a lidocaine patch tonight as already the pain is dramatically reduced. I even went for a walk tonight for the first time in a week and never felt like my sacrum might just snap from the pain. I am full of hope again. I need to remember that if there is pain in my body, it’s worth trying Upper Cervical first! Who would have thought it would be saving my life over and over again?! Really and truly. I couldn’t be more grateful to these doctors and their friendly, caring staff!
