I drove down from Washington DC. For three reasons. 1. The price. Poodles from Family Affair are MUCH cheaper than anything you’ll find around DC, and they are still AKC and microchipped. 2. The reviews. With over 100 rave reviews I had to look into them. 3. The selection. They have every color you can imagine! And they give a good look into the puppies parents to show you an idea of how big they will get. I picked a black female from Blanche and Jax liter. She’s VERY calm and loving. She adores people and other dogs. There isn’t an aggressive bone in her body. Her first vet visit, she fell asleep on the floor. She’s extremely laid back and cuddly. I’ve groomed her at home several times now and she just sits in the tub and lets me use a force dryer on her without complaint. You’re really getting the best of both worlds here between the price and temperament. I’d recommend them to anyone.

We have had 4 poodles in our 50 years together, each one larger than the last. Our last, a giant, was with us for almost 15 years. We began looking for a successor about ten months ago. We were very pleased when we found Family Affair Standards. We watched them over the next few weeks on their website and were impressed with the people, the facility their methods and their dogs. In the end, we chose an older (8 months) puppy. We drove from Houston to pickup "Cimarron". He has proved to be an excellent dog in all respects and is almost 11 months old and developing into an excellent adult. UPDATE: Cimarron just had his 3rd birthday. He has matured into a 70 lb dark brown dog; unfortunately he lost his beautiful red highlights as he matured. Excellent watch dog, great personality.

We rescued a dog of 18 months old from a rescue, from someone who surenderd their poodle. I can only say good things about the dog we adopted. I lost my service spoo of 8 years to kidney failure, l am still in alot of emotional pain over his lost it was 6 weeks after Studly passed away that I decided I couldn't live without a dog in our home especially a spoo. I named my new best friend Rico after where my roots are from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. I'm making sure that he is treated like a king. He slept with us the day we brought him home. I'm going to raised him with lot of love.he.is such a beautiful red spoo.im so lucky to have found the rescue that took him in I.also talked to the person who runs FAS, there are one of the nicest people and they shared lots of information about him and the dam and stud that he was breed from ,and that was very helpful to get that information. I love the reds they look like thier hair is golden color.Thanks everyone who made this happen. And specifically FAS for breeding such a beautiful dog who will bring us lots of joy.
