I was looking forward to shelling on a barrier island a few days after the hurricane, but we were only given 1 hour and 15 minutes out of the 4 hours on the island. It was very rushed. It is more of a relaxed boat tour. It was interesting to hear about the history of the land and the families who owned it. We also saw dolphins on our way to the island.

Had a fantastic time on the tour. Very informative and interesting stories. Just wish there were more shells to find on the island.

This is the second time I've taken the Carolina Rover cruise. The trip out to the island is relaxing. We saw bald eagles and dolphins. The captain and guide are fun and knowledgeable. Always come back with lots of good shells. Perfect activity if you're ever near Georgetown, SC

Wonderful experience! We learned so much about Georgetown, South Carolina as a whole, and wildlife! The crew was amazing. Found a lot of lovely shells, but even if we hadn't, it would have been a great time all the same. Highly recommend!

Due to the boat capacity cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance (at least 48 hours for groups of 6 or more tickets), which gives us the opportunity to offer your seats to other guests wanting to ride (72 hours for holiday cruises or charters). There will be a 10% service fee plus the on-line reservation fee. Changes or cancellations received within 24 hours before departure (within 48 hours for groups of 6 or more tickets) are subject to 100% penalty (if we are not able to sell your tickets to someone else). Please visit our website for frequently asked questions: https://www.roverboattours.com/faqs or call us at: 843-546-8822. We hope to see you soon.
Tammy, we don't offer a lunch option. You are welcome to bring your own. There are some great restaurants on Front Street that offer take out. The shell collecting opportunity on North Island is wonderful, but you will have to wade up to your knees to find them. Check out our Facebook page to see the daily posts. https://www.facebook.com/RoverBoatTours/ Please call me if I can answer any other questions. 843-546-8822
Hi Jodi, no we can not go into the Lighthouse, we are not even allowed on the grounds of the Lighthouse. Georgetown is a Port-Of-Entry for the US. Our light is operational and is used for navigation. Homeland Security does not allow any of our guests on the grounds of the lighthouse nor in it. You will have a great photo opportunity, get history on the lighthouse and we offer the official United States Lighthouse Society stamp. You might even hear a ghost story about it!
The Shelling and Lighthouse Cruise is $38.00 per adult and $30.00 per child (under 90 lbs). www.roverboattours.com
Yes, there is a head onboard.
United States Coast Guard approved commercial life vests are rated for 90 - 311 pounds. The USCG doesn't have a personal flotation device approved for passengers over 311 pounds.
We have lots of great restaurants near us. It really depends on what type of food you want.
I’m sorry, Lee Ann, no pets (including service animals) are allowed. Please visit our FAQ page or call 843-546-8822 for more information. www.roverboattours.com
I'm sorry, we do not have another cruise available today.
There are no discounts, sorry. We try to keep our prices low so that everyone can enjoy the adventure.
