This is the best vet I’ve been to (I have two dogs and 1 cat). I’ve always gone to local animal vets and hospitals because I thought they had best quality of care and maybe I was skeptical of how affordable/good quality of vet care you could get at something more corporate. I was very wrong. I’ve watched two local vet practices in affluent communities of STL go down hill over past couple of years and was very relieved to hear Banfield on Chippewa be recommended by a neighboring mom-pop vet group that wasn’t accepting new clients and able to see/treat my dogs wound quickly. First off, this Banfield was like the best staffed place I’ve seen since COVID out of any business anywhere. They had like 8-10 people working in this practice that I saw out front and they provided immediate, accurate and friendly/professional service. Nowadays you never feel like any business is well staffed but like that’s because everyone is basically working at this Banfield location. I really loved how Everyone was empathetic and supportive of me and my dog. I felt immediately relaxed about the care I was getting with how well staffed, organized, detailed, quick the reception and intake was. They could also tell my dogs were stressed about the situation and really worked them too. My pup went away confidently with these strangers when she is usually a bit more cautious about leaving me and the other dog. The staff and Dr. Pucinelli did an amazing job and kept me updated and were very thorough in all conversations to ensure I knew everything and was left with no questions. Dr Pucinelli also did great with the wound and closing it which prevented another more invasive and uncomfortable part of treatment. Additionally, Dr. P also sought and got permission from me to look at all anoamolies she may have observed and were very well-founded in worthiness of investigating with additional costs. Lastly, all these people were saving me money. From intake to the doctor. Banfield actually has like an insanely great health plan for dogs that includes so many visits, tests, labs, and insurance like coverages while also covering and providing treatment for a low cost. For even the most comprehensive plan with an older dog it is only like $60 bucks a month. Well worth it! Anyways, this is a great place with friendly staff who care and doctors who are just really good at their jobs and communicating with their patients. Additionally, you will save money and provide better care for your pets by using the wellness plans. I estimate that I’ll save around $1000-2000 per year over my pets and ensure that they and myself are kept on a regular veterinary schedule. I am making this my main vet and enrolling all my pets in plans here. Thanks again Dr. P and gang.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
