Very nice park along the Tar River. It has some walking trails and access for kayaks or canoes to the river. It is still under construction but enjoyable right now. Can't wait to see when completed.

Husband and I love the trails and they have many trails

Wide improved trails, fishing docks and a few grills and picnic areas. A few poop stations for furry companions.

Very kid friendly

They still have a swimming area and paddle boats but it is never ever open. In 15 years of living near there I have never seen it open but once to a school trip. They need a pool. They would have a lot more visitors and make money at it.
You can get both (license and permit) right there at the park
I'm not aware if it has wheelchairs available, but there are paths throughout the park that I would only say are mildly wheelchair friendly
Yes you will need a N.C fishing license.
They have a dock you can launch from
No. Drive to campsites run at least $10 per night. It is a city park, but even state and national ones usually charge for camping. You have to register and pay up-front at all of them. There is no water or electricity on the sites at this campground, but bathrooms are available. Each site has a tent pad and firepit. Hope this helps.
They also have a screened in camp site. You would have to reserve it.
