I look forward to coming here every year! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. The gift shop is full of beautiful items and the hot chocolate and popcorn is super fun with the kids. The guys outside are always so great about securing our tree to the vehicle as well. If you live in the area it's a must go place for a Christmas tree.

Our entire family has made harvesting our Christmas tree at Pleasant Valley Tree Farm an annual tradition. We always have so much there every year! In 2010 the grandchildren cut the trees and pulled them out of the woods. They were so exhausted they fell between them like this (it wasn't a posed photo) we tried to recreate it a couple years ago. It's one of my favorite photos! We will be back this year and every year God willing.

They had complimentary popcorn, cider and cocoa. A really nice, rather large gift shop with a variety of ornaments and novelties. An excellent selection of full, beautiful wreaths. They also had boughs and fresh garland. There was a wagon ride, play ground, a measuring wall for your kids to see how tall they are, and bench swings to relax on. The tree selection was great. There's the option to cut one down. We looked through the pre cut ones. They were stood up and open so you could see what you were getting and look it all over. After we found the one we wanted they trimmed the bottom for us, twined it up nice and tight and loaded it for us. For all this I thought the cost would be astronomical. It was equal to, if not less than, places like menards and home depot. The wreath was about $10 less than the one I saw at the grocery store last week but far prettier. Our 7ish foot frasier for was about $60. I was super surprised. The kids LOVED it. To contrast with menards, there you get a twined tree that you try to open a little (if you remember a knife to cut the twine), try to get a look at while it's still stiff, decide if you want it or want to cut open another, then load your half open tree yourself. You get it home, find your hand saw, hack at the bottom for 20 minutes, stand up your tree and wait 3 days for the branches to relax. Here! You look at them easily, while they're fully open, they twine them AFTER you pick, they cut the bottom and help load, you get home and can immediately stand it and decorate it! It was the most relaxing tree experience we've ever had. They've won us over for years to come im sure.

Love this place, drive two hours one way every year to cut down our trees!! We have never had an unpleasant experience. Very family friendly, love seeing Santa and Mrs Claus, and the popcorn and cider are a nice treat!

Questions & Answers

Is there anything that I can put on the medal stake that goes into the drilled hole to prevent the tree sticking in the stand at the end of the season? Last year it was very difficult to get the tree out of the stand.
