Terrible Class Insturctor's name was Rod. Seemed like a nice enough guy but he has no business teaching a class like this. He does not have good communication skills. He's hard to understand (for a while he was saying "dirt road" and nobody could figure out how this had anything to do with what he was talking about until we all figured out he was saying "third row"). He kept veering off topic to tell stories that had no business being told in this class... including one about him, as a kid, shooting a neighbor girl with a BB gun and another one about a relative who was died in a motorcycle accident. There were several others. He would read the slides but not actually read the words on the slides correctly... which caused some confusion. He substituted written words with different spoken words that made no sense. In answering more than a few questions... he did so in a very contradictory manner. In response to a question about using deadly force on a minor i'm pretty sure nobody walked away from class with a clear understanding because he flip flopped over and over between "it's illegal" and "it's legal but it's a grey area" and "it's legal but wouldn't you feel pretty bad about it" and back again to "it's illegal." Still have no idea. AND the classroom setup was awful. Large space divided in half by a sheer black curtain with a commercial kitchen in the other half of the space. Sinks running, pots/pans clanging around. It was just annoying from time to time in the morning but in the afternoon it was non-stop and VERY distracting. Completely not conducive to paying attention. Certainly not a good testing environment. AND... during class in the morning... a guy from USCCA shows up and uses class time to give us a SALES PITCH. WTH? No upfront explanation that it was not mandatory until he had already had people scan a QR code, try to walk them thru membership signup... somebody finally asked if we "had to" sign up for this and he let everybody know that it was optional. Not cool. THEN, when the test was over we found out that we had to drive 25 minutes to the shooting facility to qualify. I had already driven 40 minutes to get to this facility and there had been no previous mention of the classroom not being at the same location as the shooting range. Pretty sure this was not mentioned in the reservation process. The three other attendees that I had a chance to talk to (while sitting at the range gate waiting for the instructors to show up and open the gate) had no idea either and were as unhappy about it as I was. Had I known this, I would have paid more and taken a class closer to home. All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience.

I have to say Chase and his guys are so knowledgeable and they will teach you everything so clear and they don't rush they make sure you are comfortable throughout the class.i took the concealed carry certification and i highly recommend them.i will also be taking one of their other courses in the future.thank you to chase and his team.

Jeff and Dawn were excellent!!! They make the best out of 8hrs taking their time, awesome getting class to participate, and make it fun. Great job!!!!

Chase is an amazing instructor! I just completed the conceal carry course and plan to attend others due to his amazing ability to make the CCH class drastically less boring than it obviously is! He even gave me pointers at the end of the qualifying rounds that he genuinely didn’t have to since I did well enough to pass! Thanks Chase, see you again soon!!
