I am vacationing in N. Myrtle Beach and have an Active and Fit membership. Edison’s was listed as a participating fitness center, however, after I ran 2.2 miles to get there to really just use a roller and stretch before running back to my hotel, I was turned away by the owner. He answered the door and promptly informed me that the gym was only for locals, I asked if he accepted A&F and he said yes, “but”, he can’t extend to visitors bc they would be overwhelmed during peak vacation times, however, at the time I was there, it was mostly empty. He was adamant even thought there was nothing indicating his “restricted” policy. He also informed me he only cared about the fitness of the members of his community. I called A&F after what I considered a fairly rude explanation of his restricted membership. They attempted to work it out with him as well, to no avail. In my opinion, if you accept insurance payments you can’t then turn around and restrict membership. It’s like a hospital refusing to see a person who is out of state. Really annoying and left a rotten impression of Edison fitness. Would expect better from a business in the business of fitness and health. Take your business somewhere else.

Wonderful gym. Was here for a 2 week vacation and went here. Kelly was wonderful and just a great person. Had good conversations with here and just can’t say enough about her. Just wonderful. Gym was extremely clean and all the equipment you need to get a good lift in while on vacation. Friendly environment and will definitely come back if I vacation in myrtle again.

Edison's offers daily passes for $10 and weekly's for $45 Also the punch card mentioned in the prior response is $110 for 10 visits with no expiration and all are for use during staffed hours only.
They do accept Silver Sneakers but there is no pool.
We have offered many classes in the past, but not since Covid. We are still under capacity restrictions from the state. Hopefully we will offer them again soon.
Currently Chris, we are not offering day passes, but you can purchase a weekly pass for $45. That will be good for 7 days, during staffed hours only. No Claire, unfortunately we do not.
It has bathrooms but no showers. The way it was explained to me was to have showers, there would have to be a staff member there at all times, I'm guessing liability reasons.

No pool, just cardio machines, weight circuit and free weights. And a small class room for yoga, zumba classes, etc. It's a nice little gym, friendly staff, but no showers, so no before work workouts for me.
