All the staff I dealt with were very nice and professional and made our meet and greet sessions and adoption process very quick and smooth.

Awhile back we found a stray cat while staying in Montana and called multiple shelters, Flathead being one of the first (and rudest.) The lady I talked to was rude, insisted the shelter was full and that they couldn’t take it because it was someone’s “pet”.. then continued to tell me to LEAVE the poor cat in the woods because it was probably someone’s pet… this cat had been fully matted head to toe, had wounds, and was obviously sick. I think an animal shelter employee should know that that isn’t any condition a pet should be in.. and to ignore the fact that it was being neglected either way is disgusting. They literally pick and choose which animals are worth saving, which is not at all fair.

Normally would give this place 5 stars but recently someone dumped a cat in the country and I do not like animals suffering in anyway, so I took the poor thing to the shelter told them what had occurred and the lady who came to the door was rude, then on top of it she acted as if it was my responsibility to care for the fat and refused to take it in to save it. I can understand places being full but for goodness sake how was the cat to survive and I could in no way take it in. Like I said Normally would have rated high, but due to the fact that they would not help a cat some jerk dumped out of their car, I'm rating lower.
