Recently spent more than $5,000 on a new transmission and other work, including new spark plugs and wires. After the service, gas fumes from the engine were noticeable. Popped the hood and saw that my spark plugs were literally bouncing in place while engine was idling. Upon further inspection, I found not a single plug had been tightened, resulting in gas fumes and reduced performance. I called on a Saturday and was promptly seen. Thankfully a tech was at work that day who tightened the plugs to specs. I'm no mechanic, but it seems to me that tightening spark plugs should be a no brainer. Still waiting on paperwork and call back from the service dept after getting them to fix their screw up. Follow-up...Received a call back this morning from the service dept. Very nice conversation and should be receiving paperwork soon.
