I will start by saying I am happy with the work that Wade Byrd got done on my tattoo. On the other hand, I will never return. Wade was terrible for scheduling on multiple occasions. The initial plan/“promise” was to do two longer sessions(about 4-6 hours) and be done. For the tattoo I was traveling about 3-4 hours there and back per appointment and having to pay for hotels for a night or two to depending on the session. For the first appointment he was not prepared and I had to stay an extra day so he could prepare something for the next day. The next session he cut short by 3 hours because he just wasn’t feeling it that day after moving the appointment back 2 hours because he was not ready….again, and he didn’t even give me what I wanted 100%. On the last occasion he changed the time of the appointment before I left town. Then he texted me and tried to cancel when I was halfway to Kalispell. I asked if he would be able to schedule for an early morning appointment and he said yes. I got to town and stayed the night ready for an appointment in the morning. At 1:30 in the morning I received a text that it just wasn’t going to workout and he hopes I could understand. He said he would reschedule me asap and he never even attempted to reach out to me. My tattoo is not complete and I will be finding another artist to finish it! Wade is very unprofessional and immature and I do not recommend!

I chose Wade to tattoo my arm sleeve after hearing great reviews about him. Well, mostly great reviews… Over the course of eight sessions, my sleeve is barely half done. Wade was notorious for canceling the appointment last minute, no showing, and/or pushing the appointment at the last minute after I had already traveled 30+ minutes. One day, I drove 3.5 hours for an appointment that we had agreed upon and that I had a down deposit for. When I arrived, the shop was locked. I finally got ahold of Wade who told me he couldn’t tattoo that day and made no effort to reschedule me unless I came into the shop. At my last appointment, Wade repeatedly told me that he was going to get a large amount of work done on my sleeve that session. Wade then excitedly talked with the other artists in his shop about going to party that afternoon. Wade stopped my appointment short to go party in the early afternoon after barely getting any work done. The next two appointments I had scheduled, Wade canceled at the last second and made zero effort to reschedule me even though I had a down payment. At that point, I decided to find a different artist to finish my tattoo. Wade was extremely unprofessional and ignored my messages when I asked for a refund of my down deposit. However, Wade eventually gave me a refund after I requested it multiple times and once I requested the refund on Venmo. Bottom line - Wade does great work. However, he is not a good businessman, and struggles to keep his personal and work life separate. He has ripped off multiple friends of mine and leaves tattoos unfinished. Do not recommend.

I had an appointment booked with Artification two months in advance and was very excited to get a tattoo from them. When you go into meet with the artists you have to put a significant deposit down to hold the appointment which they call a consultation fee to be applied then to the tattoo price when you receive the tattoo. Unfortunately, the week of my appointment came and I had to cancel due to a positive Covid result. I attempted to reschedule my appointment five different times (photos attached) and when I didn’t hear back I requested my deposit back. Not only would they not refund the consultation fee (which I no longer care about) they never acknowledged the fact that I had tried to reschedule the appointment and instead said if I chose to come back they would apply my payment to my tattoo...which I had tried to reschedule five times. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
