This clinic has done more for me than any clinic after living in Chicago and San Diego. After moving to a red conservative area the VA stopped stalling on my care. The VA might not be perfect but if you are proactive and you actually deserve things you'll get it from this clinic. I have had surgeries that other Department of Veterans Affairs office's fought me on for years. This clinic got me the scans that helped prove I really did need more surgeries. Great clinic. They really changed my life for the better.

Right out of the military and they’re telling my husband he doesn’t meet certain criteria of his diagnosis therefore he is no longer receiving the meds he needs. 5 months retired and they’re already peeling away the diagnosis’s that took almost 2 years to reach while in service. Even when they did fulfill one prescription before taking it away, that took 2 weeks for them to put into the system, and that’s only because we called asking about it. It wasn’t even ordered! They don’t listen, they don’t care and but they certainly work harder at challenging any previous diagnoses. If this is what 5 months of healthcare from VA looks like then I can see why so many vets take their lives. How are they suppose to get help when they aren’t being heard? When their pain and/or mental health is pushed aside, questioned, or not believed. I’ll mention that upon waiting in the waiting room, another vet was very clearly distressed. He’d been waiting for his schedule appointment for over half an hour, even mentioned it to the front desk but got so frustrated he walked out. Absolutely go elsewhere if at all possible, especially when it’s mental health related.

Compared to other VA facilities this one for rural areas is really good. Another good one is in Reno, NV and TorC, NM. Some like Albuquerque are a joke.

My husband is a Veteran, 100% disabled. 5 combat tours. Another 2 tours as a civilian contractor. My father was also a Vet, along with my grandfather, uncles, countless cousins, nephews and my sons. My husband nearly died two years ago from an illness. Upon returning home, from 71 days in the hospital and 29 surgeries, he had a post-op appointment with his “doctor”. I went with him, as he was still unable to drive himself, and needed to use a walker for mobility. This “doctor” barely took the time to look at him. Just threw more prescriptions at him and pecked away at her computer. That seems to be all she ever does. We recently went in for his 6 month appointment. I went with him to ask questions about why he hasn’t received info on medical care and a couple surgeries he has been waiting on for over a year. These surgeries are extremely important for his way of life. They are needed after the medical issue that happened two years ago. No word on anything. Just excuses from the VA in Montana and zero help from his “doctor”. My husband is always the one trying to grease the wheels to get them to do their job. When confronted with questions and concerns she easily changed the subject. She doesn’t like confrontation, yet she invites it with her lax and uncaring attitude. She has no clue and doesn’t seem to care. This was not a good career choice for someone with zero compassion or ambition to help the Vets who served for all of us, including her. This facility is by far the worst I have ever seen. The only folks I have noticed doing their job and seeming to care are the ones who do the lab work. The man boy at the front desk is rude, talks poorly of Vets after they leave the office, etc. We witnessed his unprofessional attitude when we were there last week. Disgusting. Zero compassion, zero listening skills. We’ve had enough and are contacting our senator, as well as attorneys if need be. Enough is enough. I wouldn’t recommend that any Vet go here if you can help it.

Questions & Answers

I received a new pair of glasses reference a new prescription. However, the prescription is in error and the glasses are useless. How do I go about correcting the issue to return the glasses and obtain a correct pair of prescribed glasses?

Contact your team nurse and tell them exactly what happened. They can usually fix this issue in a timely manner. Answer all question they pose to you honestly so this error won't happen again and they can fix the current issue.

Do I need an appointment to get a new ID card?

A heads up call is preferred so they can be ready from last I was told. Just call main number and press option to speak with front desk or primary care.

is there a Nephrologist at this clinic?
