I began working with Brian Dugan back in October. Originally, I hadn’t even scheduled myself to work with him. I’m a 19 year old Type 1 Diabetic, and wasn’t sure who to work with. But that’s when I got a call from Health Loft recommending that Brian would be the best fit to help my Diabetic orientated needs and goals. And oh my goodness, I am so thankful I took their advice! Brian has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I met with him, he’s been clear, focused, and sincere in his approach. I have never worked with anyone who truly puts the client first as much as he does. He’s always very polite, both in meetings and email exchanges. Always is efficient but not afraid to use up all the time for the meeting to ensure we hit everything we both want to discuss. He made sure to firstly get to know me and my lifestyle, then identify key areas to make small but effective changes, before moving on to tackle areas of finer detail. His background as a chef gives him a great foundation of knowledge, and adds an extra layer in the way he breaks food and nutrition down. And even when the meeting ends, one recognizes that his work doesn’t stop there because he is always communicating and developing the plan we’ve made in his own time, truly getting inside the mind of the client to make sure we hit our goals. Above all, Brian is a remarkable human being who can find a way to entertain anyone in conversation. As his heart as well as his mind, I believe, is my most important asset he has. Not only do I consider him my nutritionist, but I also view him as someone who is always willing to be there and listen to what I have to say. From a diabetic standpoint, working with him has significantly stabilized my blood glucose levels and overall feelings of good health. I went from having a weekly A1C of about 7.4 to averaging a 6.7, which I never thought could be possible in such a short amount of time. Getting through the day is no longer a struggle because of the way I look at eating now. Needless to say, I highly recommend working with Brian Dugan.

Brian Dugan is helping me navigate a low FODMAP diet. He is knowledgeable, listens well to my needs and works with my schedule and life events to make sure my nutritional goals are realistic and attainable. He is also just a really pleasant person to go through this process with, as well.

Brian Dugan has been absolutely amazing to work with over the past few months. I’ve been struggling with massive bloat for the last couple years, and I found Health Loft and Brian after my doctor suggested I try a low FODMAP diet. I couldn’t imagine starting this on my own without Brian’s knowledge and support. I’m already seeing life-changing results and it’s making such a huge difference in how I feel. I highly recommend working with Brian and Health Loft!

Most nutrition services do not require a doctor’s referral. In the small case that it does, we will work with you and your doctor’s office to get one.
Yes! For your convenience, we offer virtual appointments for nutrition counselling across the United States.
Yes. Our nutritionists are highly trained and familiar with all types of diet restrictions. They can help you develop a plan and prepare meals that fit within your preferred diet.
We want to get to know you! Our first job is to listen to your story and your concerns and ask questions to determine the main areas to focus on. We work step-by-step to help you set health goals and stick to them. Each visit, we’ll spend 60 minutes with you, evaluate your progress, discuss sticking points, and make a new plan to keep you moving in the right direction.
The first visit will be spent performing a thorough evaluation to gain an understanding your concerns, needs, and goals. Therapists will then explain your condition along with what they feel is causing it, treatment options, and recommended a plan of care. Depending on the complexity of the case and diagnosis, treatment will usually begin on the first visit and patients will be sent an electronic home program to complete. This visit typically lasts 60 minutes in length
We accept all major PPO plans including but not limited to BCBS, Aetna, United, Cigna, Medicare, Tricare, Workmans Compensation Plans, and Vehicle Accident Cases.
