Lottie is the original owner. You can read all about her life in the bar.

Cold air, cold drinks, and warm people. Love it. Fun fact Molly's from Chicago Fire is lottie's and they actually filmed for the first two seasons on location at lottie's. After that they built a duplicate of lottie's on set. so our favorite home lottie's became synonymous with Chicago Fire that's how good it is there.

They only do exterior shots. As a matter of fact, they were filming there last night. There are hotels, hostels, and bed and breakfasts within walking distance of the bar. A few of the actors live in the neighborhood, too.

No, it's a corner neighborhood bar popular with locals. Pub food and pizza plus a weekend brunch menu. Sidewalk patio in the summer. Not hard ti find a table.
