Worst doctors not taking proper care

I have always had a good experience with the Dr’s at this practice. However, I called today to make an appointment with scheduling and the woman on the phone was SO rude! I waited for 9-10 minutes on hold and I explained what days work best for me and who I prefer to see. I further explained my schedule changes bi-weekly due to my step daughters preschool schedule and she rudely interrupted me and said how about I tell you what I have. She proceeded to tell me days I had previously said do not work for me and offer new doctors which I had stated previously I do not want to see anyone new. We found a day that works and I caught the wrong time and she rudely again interrupted me and told me I better not be late to my appointment or else the Dr will leave without seeing me. She proceeded to say “We have been talking so long I forget the issue you even have”. As soon as I hung up, I checked the time and it had been 13 minutes. I had been on wait for 9-10 min of that!At the end of the conversation when she confirmed my appointment she emphasized the time AGAIN! Her tone the whole time was so condescending. I should feel comfortable going to my OBGYN and it should be a safe space. I was shocked how rude your front desk person was! Being in the service industry, I cannot believe some people that work in customer service.

I consider Dr. Narula Komal to have been medically negligent. She fails at her job of being a caring and competent doctor; in the process of her rushing my appointment (but still billing me for a full appointment time) she told me incorrect information about my IUD, regarding when it expires. I had called Avina to make an appointment to switch out my IUD because it was set to expire this in a few months, they informed me I need a consultation to discuss this with a doctor. Insurance confirmed the services would be covered since it was considered preventative. My appointment with Dr. Narula was less than 5 minutes and she informed me that my IUD had another year (which was incorrect, I had clarified with the original doctor who had inserted it), Narula did not give me a chance to state it expires this year nor did she check my past medical records. I was told I needed a consultation before I could change birth control methods and now being billed out of pocket what she billed as a 20-29 minute office visit.

This is the first place to take my health concerns seriously! I go to Elizabeth Orwick. She diagnosed me fast, explained the situation well and gave me treatment that has made a difference. I highly recommend this to young women looking to be heard.
