I don't remember ever eating another beef taco that I legit felt a sadness when there wasn't any left. And the queso. I can see myself sitting on a stoop somewhere eating it with only my fingers and a smile. Yes. It was that good. Didn't even get a chance to take pictures. Just one of all that was left. Then I ate the crumbs.

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Better than anything else I've eaten from before! I feel the warmth in every bite as I take from their appetizers, to steak fajitas, tacos and much much more. It really felt like each dish was made with care as if they were cooking for their own family. Staff was accommodating too! Though small in size, they have enough space and tables to house each customer that comes in. Mothers cantina deserves to be my usual from now on.

We went during happy hour (4-6 pm) for margaritas and tacos. The bar stayed busy the entire time but our server was fast and friendly. The bar was a bit dark but the tables seemed clean. The floor underneath was a little sticky. (Maybe someone got sloppy with their margarita?) Our server offered chips and salsa. We both thought the salsa was very good and not too hot. We had happy hour tacos. My DH had the portobello and fried fish tacos and liked them so much he ordered more. There is a non-fried option. I had a beef and a chicken taco. You have the option of hard corn or soft flour shells. Everything was yummy and we will definitely return.

Happy hour signature margaritas followed by appetizers, Santa Fe Rolls and Jalapeño Poppers with the main dish Taco Salad. The food was so good, service was excellent and I would highly recommend the place if you are in the area.
