Preferring Saturday Mass to Sunday during our trips to Lake Tahoe, St. John's Catholic Church is within scenic driving distance of Topaz Lodge, our overnight lodging on the drive to and from the lake. The trip takes you through Nevada farm land that embodies the words God's Country, especially the agricultural vehicles on the road on a late Saturday afternoon. The church is smaller than most folks' homes but still boasts a school and teen ministry. On the way back to the hotel, you have time to mull over the Liturgy in the solace of Nature and the quiet of passing through a small town on a Saturday at sundown.

No Sunday...4:30 every Saturday
NOT A LOCAL. We were passing by at around 12:30 pm or so and were just there on leaving Lake Tahoe, May 16th, 2021 and we saw their sign saying, "Mass Time: Sunday 5:00 PM." Hope that helps.
