I have nothing but good things to say about MBH. From the receptionist to the counselors and the psychiatrist they are great. They saved my life.

The IOP program is a joke. Councelor there seems to worry more about looking good for ppl that she works around than actually helping clients with issues. Did not work for me.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. I have been a patient since before Katrina. I get reminders about appointments, calls from the pharmacy to check each month how I am doing with medications before they send them to me. My counselor is a very nice person that goes out of there way to make me comfortable and happy. My doctors a little rough around the edges, but the job gets done and done right.

Staff is a disorganized mess and does not care about the clients. Often times I would walk in on time to my appointments only to hear they were rescheduled without my contact or consent. Have had several instances in which my medicine was prescribed in the wrong dosage or not prescribed at all. When I would point out these problems to the staff or try to receive help, I was often given attitude or ignored completely. The location is also sketchy as well, as it resides between a low-income neighborhood and a highway. I once was stalked by a local creep getting out of my car one day, which gave me a panic attack. Told staff about the incident, and they just simply said something along the lines of “oh he lives around here so it’s fine.” Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone going through serious mental health issues. There are many professional resources and facilities for mental health on the Northshore that can help you or a loved one get the care that’s needed, but this is not one of them.
