I tend to my husband myself. Constantly coming in the room at night making noise then leaving door open, like he sleeping respect that. The rN’s doesn’t go around checking patients. My husband was left soaked when I came back twice. There are no CNA’:s on the halls they are being pulled from other halls just to work on a hall they dnt no. Unorganized and unprofessional. They talk about people behind the desk instead of answering call lights.

If I could give this hospital a negative 5 rating I would. Family member was in ICU for 11 days passing away today. In those 11 days I have never experienced such a lack of Empathy, Sympathy, or just basic respect to family who’s love ones are sick. The lack of communication between the downstairs workers to the nurses in ICU are nonexistent. The rudeness of the ICU nurses were astounding. One actually called security on the mother while she and her Pastor was praying with the patient. Also attacking the Pastor telling him something along the line of “ How do I know you’re a real Pastor “ and said very rudely. We were told by the doctor that visiting hours were going to be lifted Sunday for family to come and say their goodbyes. Sunday arrived and we were told by a nurse that the doctor couldn’t make a decision like that. So many family members couldn’t say their goodbyes, then they denied us the 5:00 visit because of test that needed to be run.I would never recommend this hospital to anyone that needs ICU care. I cannot speak for all of the other departments but I can personally say the ICU unit needs an overhaul and the nurses need a strict course in bed side manners.

During the weekdays must be better with nurses and the staff. The Weekends it's horrible, takes since Friday night till Sunday night to Get tube feeding done!!! Unreal with the nurses especially the Head nurse Victoria to get anything done with a elderly patient (Vietnam Vet at that) Going to Admin in the morning to get him moved to Lourdes. He just went through 9 months of cancer treatments and this crew at Lafayette general don't care or know they're job

There is no good reason for such a disregard for some patients just because you dont walk in there shoes dont mean that there any less important. And if they took the time to read the patients history they would most definitely be in the loop. And with that means better care. Hope the patient is doing fine now.
