When we went camping at the cabins we had an absolute blast. It was very peaceful and the cabins and the bathrooms were very well taken care of! i expected there to be lots of bugs and spiders in the bathrooms and cabins but there were almost nome. There was also some great views.

Great park. A lot of trails and open areas for day use. Cabins are very nice and useful if you have kids. Very family oriented. Kids loved it.

Great time. We stayed in cabin 1. Few minutes walk to one pond, a little further to Beaver pond. Near Hilltop day use area.

A very pleasant place to get away from city. Just 25 minutes drive west of Hillsboro/Beaverton area. I enjoyed my stay here, walk outside of the car, lookout beautiful mountain hills and a good slope of green space near parking lot. I was there a few years ago at clear sky night to watch star in summer time. Very good spot to view night sky.

80 a night
Yes. You park your vehicle in the area where you register. The path to hike back is right off from there. You can pick up a map and there are signs alsp you can use to get back to your spot.
In the past showers and bathrooms had been vandalized. As of 1.1.2022 the showers are now available to campers only and are locked at 6pm and the reopened at 9am
State Park cabins in general tend to fill up quickly and are difficult to rent unless you reserve 6 months to a year out.
Only 50 bucks a night.
You’ll need to call them directly
No you can not. You have a firepit/grill infront of your cabin. You will have beds, table, and chair inside the cabin. If you need a bathroom, you walk a few feet to the bathroom/shower bldg. Less than a minute away from the cabin.
You usually have to book nine months ahead of your desired date, spots fill extremely quick
1/4 mile on a gravel trail below the park is the paved Banks to Vernonia trail....we ride to Vernonia 11 miles and had lunch then roade back. Nice ride with some elevation but gradual and moderate to easy.
The only issue is that there are signs up about bears and mountain lions being in the area. So if you go please bring protection

$47 but u should check the site for availability cuz they book pretty fast. https://oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=parkPage.dsp_parkRates&parkId=75
About 1200 feet or so
Cell phones barely work there but I thought no they have WiFi at main ranger station when enter.
Yes. Per the State of Oregon Park's website: >Dairy Creek Camp West (open year-round) >Dairy Creek Camp East (open March 1 – Oct. 31) >Hares Canyon Horse Camp (open March 1 – October 15) >Brooke Creek Hike-in Camp (open year round for sites 1-9) >Mountain Dale Cabin Village (year-round) https://oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=parkPage.dsp_parkPage&parkId=75
If you are willing to to park outside the campground you can get a spot in the hiker/biker campsite but you must show up at the campground on foot or by bicycle to get to use the site so park down the road and either bike or hike all you gear into the campground
No, your better off going to a diffrent campground for fishing. Imo
Reservations are highly suggested, though not necessary. Rates vary by site. Check their website.
I've never stayed in one of the cabins before but I get a strong 4g signal from Verizon down in the RV area.
You can stay 14 consecutive nights in a regular campsite, yurt or cabin in a single campground, and may return after spending at least three nights out of the park (it can be another state park campground; in fact, we recommend you DO select another state park campground). The maximum time allowed within any campground is 14 nights within any 17-night period. The maximum stay for hiker/biker sites is 3 consecutive days in a 7 day period, per campground.
Yes. Electric heaters. Showers nearby have lots of hot water.
According to a posting on their website from 1/1/2018, the Hilltop Day Use area, all hiking trails, disc golf course and mountain bike area are only open on Saturdays and Sundays in the month of February. The Banks-Vernonia Trail is open weekdays and weekends.
The restroom is available most all the time, even at night, and it has red lights in it instead of white, because stargazers use the area as you can get such a good view of the stars at night. Red light is not as blinding as white light in the dark. So if you're going there for a daytime event, and it's a clear day, you'll love the star view
They have a fire ban right now but under normal circumstances you can
