The employees at this facility is really rude. You can tell it’s not a high-paying job because their attitudes are exactly their pay rates. Kay to be exact and I reached out to her to see about a job offer that was available. Not to mention that was just posted today. That clearly stated it was just posted for one day and I applied for the position and text her phone number due to having it before when I got a job offer but did not take it because I got another job offer that paid way more, but was still interested in this new position and her response “No not at this time “ but I literally just saw that it was a position open, but I guess because I wanted it to better myself at the time so she sent me that message… do better and maybe this facility would get better reviews .. I wouldn’t recommend to even work with a person like this. I mean how many times ate they going to switch companies !! It’s the people

I have only been to this facility this week. My aunt is a resident here and when I came in from Minnesota this week I wanted to go see her, everyday the same friendly girl(Amanda) came in at 7 and told my aunt her name and that if she needed anything to let her know. Sometimes Amanda came with medicine others she came with just water or juice and food. My aunt said everytime this girl works that she comes in with a smile, kisses her forehead and asks if she needs anything. She also tells her that if she does to let her know and that she will get it for her. My aunt said she had never seen someone care so much about her residents or the way that people feel. Also Teresa is amazing she always makes sure my aunt is take.n care of whenever she comes in. Both these ladies go above and beyond to make sure people are comfortable in their home and it is extremely comforting to know that they care so much.

Honestly, this facility (Carolina Garden's-York) isn't too bad. Assisted living facilities are basically all the same. I have been affiliated with many different facilities; over a 25 year period; from high end to low end. What makes the difference is the staff! The staff at this facility care about the residents! They know residents by first name and are willing to go above and beyond to accommodate them! Their response during the pandemic has been phenomenal! Communication was a little spotty in the beginning but once they worked out all the "kinks"; I saw improvements daily. I applaud all the staff for juggling the care of the residents during COVID! Thank you for caring for our loved ones!
