The staff is incredible. The friendliest and most accommodating I've encountered. The view was fabulous, the gazebo a great place to sit and enjoy. The bed linens and towels soft, just like home. Yes, it is old, and could use some updating, but then again, just like home. It is very clean and comfy. I will be back. Thanks to Jim and his staff.❤❤❤

We were completely on board with rustic, quaint, modest expectations, etc. The staff that works there really does their best to make it work. Ownership not so much. A hotel can be rustic and still be clean at the same time. I had booked three rooms for three nights. First room reeked of dogs, second room reeked of a bathroom. None of the dead bolts on the doors could be locked from the outside, they all were keyed differently from the room key. The linen smelled horrible. The ceiling fan in room 7 did not work, the bathroom in room 8 was full of mold and moldy "drywall". The walls are made of mobile home wall board, if that gives you a context for room quality. If there were rooms available anywhere else in the area we would have left the first night. As it was, we decided to cut our trip short a day because no one wanted to stay in their rooms. I cant believe any one would return.

I cannot wait to go back! I took my 18 and 13 year old daughters with me. As soon as we walked in they wanted to stay an extra night, and we did. We stayed in the Manor, had the entire upstairs to ourselves. Back in the day it was the owner's sister's bedroom. Jim, the owner, is super friendly and showed us around the entire house. He is very proud of this place and I loved listening to the story behind it. Fresh breakfast every morning. Everything was very clean. I wish the weather was more cooperative so we could've enjoyed the outside more but we still went swimming under the cloudy sky, we couldn't resist. Our neighbors were great too.
