More like a resort than a typical summer camp! Great activities: swing, sip line, pool, slides etc. but the real show-stopper was the landscaping. Beautiful flowers and foilage wherever you walked and the mountainous scape that surrounded the premises. It was a joy just to be on the grounds. Also, new dining hall is massive and well designed.

Top notch retreat center. Well-managed, well-maintained. Lots of great options for activities. Easy access just outside of Asheville.

I just came back home and I told my mom I wanted to go back it was so fun the kids are nice and fun to be around the camp it self is nice I want to say the peppers is the best actor and the Song known is now a favorite I truly felt the love from the lord and felt I got more closer thanks for everything I’ll back in the fall and summer

Questions & Answers

Why I don't see any African Americans in your photos? I went to this camp about 30 years ago it was VERY Diverse . Windy gap was the best camp I ever been to.

Great catch Tracey! Young Life clubs in African American high schools have definitely increased in the past 30 years and kids are experiencing Windy Gap. Best camp ever and it is for everyone! Check Windy Gap out on Instagram.

I'm not sure! It would depend upon if you're going for the weekend or the week and how much fundraising you do. The leaders in our area always make sure to have lots of opportunities for everyone to help raise money to go 😊 Best weekend/week of your life!!!

Don't know much about Windy Gap but I know from what I saw when I went and drop the kids off at Windy Gap it was a beautiful place very nice landscaping and I really enjoyed dropping them off and going back up there to pick them up I am a bus driver no affiliation with Windy Gap
