If I could give this place a negative score I would. My Mother has been there for a year and half. We are currently seeking another assisted living center for her. This place has serious issues including but not limited too, It smells horrible and is not clean. The residents are intimidated and treated horribly if they report any issues. This makes them fearful of complaining about anything from the food service, the help they receive or we should we say lack of. The Med Techs, CNA's and other staff talk negatively about certain residents, they even discuss their dislikes with other residents. They refuse to help people with known fall risk, will not help with dressing or undressing, harass patients about why they need certain meds and then tell them they don't need them. They will make certain patients wait way past the time for their medicines before giving it to them. They aren't the doctors who prescribed these meds, their job is to deliver these meds. My mom has been made to go to her room while waiting on portable oxygen for hours, missing out on activities and causing her great distress. This place will not help her at all, no help. If she gets sick and needs some assistance, they tell her that's not their job and if she can't do it they will send her to skilled nursing. If you as a family member complain about anything, they are very nice to you, but after you leave, they make the resident pay for it. They won't respond when the room light is turned on, they give the silent treatment and then after a few days, they tell the resident that they shouldn't talk so much and tell on them. This is intimidating to the residents and they fear reporting any issues to anyone. This is why I am seeking a better place for my mom. Anywhere is better than this place. Not to mention, they are extremely over priced, under staffed and not worth a cent that they charge. The minute I get my mother out of there, I am reporting many issues and staff to the state of NC, the county, medicaid, medicare, anyone that will listen. I hope to make a positive difference for any future resident or patient.

They didn't take my step dad food 4 times. Didn't take care of his bed sores properly and when he fell out of bed he was on the floor for about a hour before anyone came to him. Do not send your loved ones here, that place will not take care of them

I would give this facility zero stars if I could. Yesterday a nurse told another staff member that I was getting on her nerves, loudly I might add, while slapping packs of meds together. Not sure if she was attempting to intimidate me or what? I informed her that my Grandmother who was just brought back from the Hospital, needed her Oxygen. Some how hers grew legs and walked out of her room while she was gone. The Nurse some how didn't feel that this was a priority. The facility is old and smells badly. Some of the staff members are attentive and friendly, those are the souls that are most appreciated. Do not look for any assistance or compassion on weekends or holidays, because they do not have any to offer. I feel really bad for the patients that do not have family members checking in on them daily. Shame on these people who say they care! I hope they are one day treated in the same manner that they treat their patients and their famiilies.
