As a Halloween attraction enthusiast, I was greatly disappointed. The space at the fair grounds had so much potential and felt like a waste. You are “guided” through a maze of tarps and trash bags in large groups - which was ridiculous considering there were about 12 of us total and they could have broken us up into smaller groups to at least attempt better jump scares. Of the half dozen or so actors, most of them just screamed at the top of their lungs instead of taking the time to actually scare you. Where’s the creep factor? It really just left me annoyed and deaf. The only cool props were the animatronics but most of the props were pretty run of the mill. Honestly, you can’t charge people $12 for that. If anything, maybe $5 but there should also be a disclaimer that the attraction is more geared towards children…or teenagers that act like children…or anyone that is easily scared by someone going “boo” with no enthusiasm. It’s really a shame what these attractions have come to.

We checked prices, online and by calling, the day we attended the Haunted Forest and were given the same amounts by both. However, once we arrived the prices were considerably higher than what had been quoted approximately two hours before. Price aside, we decided to pay the higher price and enjoy the hauntings. Shortly after entering the Haunted Forest our guide left us and we were not directed to the attractions. After returning to the snack area and taking a break we returned to the Haunted Forest and received directions to the other attractions. Many of the museum articles were inaccurately portrayed as old or artifacts, however a few items and their narratives did frighten my teenagers sufficiently. It's probably the last time we will attend this event.
