Honestly the best bet is to call the restaurant. They make it a very serious issue before any guest comes into their establishment, that has a food allergy like this. God forbid someone get extremely ill. You have to notify the restaurant. And the manager will let you know what they have in their foods. Some restaurants switch out certain things they cannot get, by getting a similar product somewhere else especially if they run out of it. But in more cases then none. They change the food they are out of to something else. Anyways. Best bet and rule of thumb is to call any place/restaurant, cafe, or eatery and ask them about their gluten free menu first and foremost if they have the item you want and if they don't what substitutions can you get if you have Celiac disease, to make your intended dish taste good and be served the right way.
