Great place. Easy to use if you think a bit ahead of going there. Presort your stuff. Metal, construction debris, recycle, cardboard, household garbage, electronics, appliances, oil, paint, batteries. Then when you get there you can quickly pull what you need for the bins quickly. Saturday and Sunday always busy. Electronics, hazardous waste shuts down early 4 pm I think. Other stuff your good until 7 pm weekdays. Plenty of time and low lines during the weekdays. The workers are mostly all great. Wade is a great guy there. Always helpful and keeps the lanes moving and clean.

I heard from a neighbor that on 9/5/20 an employee charged them $10-$15 for having "too many" cardboard boxes and wanted the cash given to him through the resident's tailgate rather than the window. I'm including a one star rating so perhaps a manager will address this. I was not aware of any extra fees for Wake County residents bringing their own recyclables to the landfill.

Good staff, service and location. LONG LINES on Saturday. Can sit out on Highway 55 in one long line for hours. Slow moving into facility. Some cars even come off 540 and think they have to get in line just to get on 55.

Great site! Those that post about houses being too close and smelling some odor .... well, no one made you buy that house! I don’t like living on a busy street BUT I bought the house without knowing it would be a through street. My fault for not checking the future plans. I love being able to take my oil, big recyclables, etc to this nice facility. It’s clean and well organized.

Yes California loves plastic bottles and straws. Matter of fact they want to be buried with plastic bottles and straws
Yes
You can dump personal construction waste at the landfill. Bay number 7, i think. The last few months that Bay gets full quickly. Perhaps on the day you went they directed you to a private dump because it was full. Also, keep in mind that they turn all commercial vehicles away from dumping. I've seen people come with u-haul and penske trucks and get turned away. If neither are the case perhaps try another day. Sunday they are open. Also if you have a trailer haul it in that, they accept trailers because typically personal construction waste gets loaded and hauled this way
