The white bearded "gentleman" standing post at this landfill was very brazen and rude to both my son and I. We arrived with half of a truck full of things to dispose of and he refused us bc we were in a rented truck. We offered for him to take a look at what we brought to make sure it was okay and he refused and told us to leave. Here I had paid to have our refuse disposed of properly only to have him tell us we couldn't make use of the landfill-according to their website, we had nothing that shouldn't have been accepted because I had checked their guidelines before going there. Grrr....

The experience was not awful but I personally would not recommend for anyone who isn't driving a dump truck. The guy at the "shed" who takes payments charged a bit more than what I would pay at the North Mecklenbug Recycling Center and the dirt road to get to the dump area is a disaster. There are deep holes and mountainous slopes with just the amount of mud that will get any car or van stuck. I have a 4x4 truck so I was able to get to where I needed to go but I don't recommend you trying to get up there without a 4x4. Also, there isn't much room for a truck and trailer to turn around and there are quite a bit of dump trucks constantly dumping large loads that are in and out fast. I had to unload the trailer by hand since it cant be dumped, which was fine, that's how I normally do it. But the dump site had just enough room for me and one other dump truck to unload. So, as I am unloading multiple dump trucks came and went, meanwhile the backhoe operator is trying to make space for more loads. With this being said, I felt like a nuisance being rushed, and I also felt a little uneasy as far as safety goes. My suggestion is don't go here if you don't have a dump truck. If you do have a dump truck, this may be a great place for you!
