Nice Apts., Recently renovated, very very low crime rate, mostly quiet, it's a NO smoking property. The people that work in the office are really nice and really helpful with apt issues.

My Fiancé and I moved in about 2 months ago and have had issues with one of the apartment guys since day one. He has always been very rude, and one time we caught him letting himself into our apartment, because we were upstairs and it took awhile for us to get to the door (I guess he thought we wasn’t home.) This last issue was the last draw for us! We are expecting our first child in August, so we bought a house and are updating and remodeling it for our little boy Elliot. I told the apartment guy we were giving our 30 day notice and he left very angery and was very rude (as usual.) The next day we went to see the progress on our new home, we left the apartment unlocked and the key laying were we ALWAYS put it, because we did not plan on being very long. When we came back, we had been locked out! My fiancé had to break through a window and our key had been taken also! I know this was not a break in, because nothing was moved or taken except for the key. If you’re thinking about looking for a place to rent in the Spruce Pine area, there are many other lovely places, the Walnut Avenue Apartments are NOT one of them! It’s safe to say we will be leaving a lot sooner than planed!
