We had an apartment fire caused by a lightning strike on June 17. The fire department shut off all of the breakers and condemned the apartment. We have been living in a hotel since June 17. Today I got my CPW with the service dates of 6/17-7/18, actual reading supposedly, bill is $172.72!!!! How is this possible? Oh it’s not! Either someone in my complex has tapped into my line or meter or whatever it would be which I doubt or the person that was supposed to have read the meter never did. It would be pretty obvious that there should have been negligible usage since the outside wall is almost nonexistent and there’s a big condemned sign on the front door!! After reading these reviews I’m not looking forward to dealing with customer service but I am prepared for a fight if necessary!! If my experience with customer service is good I will gladly update this review! ***As I said I would I am updating my review. After 3 days of standing my ground, the final charge ended up being $18.49. Granted this is huge compared to $172.72 however it is still nearly 4 times what it should have been. My math shows $172.72 divided by 31 days equals $5.57 per day. There was only electricity to the unit for less than 1 day so how can I be charged $18.49!?!? The final woman I spoke with was very nice but could not give me a valid reason for this. She spouted off something about a service charge. Since I was recently informed that the meter should have been pulled the day of the fire, what kind of charge should I have incurred? The fact that the meter was not pulled until July 17th or 18th is not my problem and I should not be charged anything over $5.57. I raised my review from 1 star to 3 because Elizabeth, I think her name was, got back to me in a timely manner and was very kind. I also never received an explanation about how the bill could say it was an actual reading when clearly it was not.***

Customer services needs to improve. Got off the phone with someone who was rude and clearly doesn’t like their job.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. These people are only interested in money. If there's an issue with payment, they shut off your electricity without a grace period to resolve the issue.

Good morning - You would need to contact the lake warden's office for contacts related to the bass tournaments. We do not organize any fishing tournaments - that is done by groups and organizations. The wardens office number is 864-895-3645.
Hello John - No, that would be the City of Greer and Ace Environmental. Every other year Greer CPW asks for live Christmas tree donations that we put in Lake Robinson and Lake Cunningham but 2020 is an off year for us. We will not ask for live trees until December 2021.
If the tree is near power lines, please call 864-848-5500. Otherwise the property owner that the tree is on would be responsible for maintaining the tree.

Good afternoon Mr. Earley, We added a rehabilitation/surcharge fee in 2005 after it was approved by our Commissioners. This fee which is $0.35 X the total consumption is used to offset our cost due to Greer CPW being required by DHEC to upgrade all our sewer lines. I don't think they do. Last I checked in to it, they penalize you. At least that is the case for solar. Pretty messed up if you ask me.
