My nephew from SF recommended this restaurant and I couldn't agree more. Sometimes you just want great food, great price, and a full stomach. I appreciate the quality of food they provide and I will definitely be heading back. Try to get there right before it opens as the lines can be long. If you can't stand the requirements of this restaurant, there are many others to try. Many ramen shops in Japan have the same requirements with waiting lines out the door and no leftovers.

NO RESERVATIONS. NO LEFTOVERS! I LOVE THIS PLACE! The ramen is massive, the noodles have a perfect chew, and there is sooo much garlic. The beef was nice and tender (a bit dry), and the broth was delicious. So there are 3 rows of limited seating, and they seat people in sets of each row, so the line outside is dependent on how quickly patrons can eat their ramen. At the end of eating, you are given an opportunity to say a dream you have to the entire restaurant (yume means dream). I love the vibe and supportive network of this place. The only downside (which is why I am marking this down), is I was not allowed to take their massive ramen to go as I was very full. Their reasoning is "it would ruin the experience" as take away. As someone who takes leftovers very seriously, this made me upset that they would rather force patrons to throw away the food they cannot finish.

The best ramen in the city for sure, possibly anywhere in the U.S. and if you’re reading this, I hope you decided to visit the dream workshop with its amazing atmosphere and unique dining experience

Best ramen in the boston area. Only thing id change is I want even more garlic topping.

If you lined up like 10 minutes before 5pm it shouldn't be a long wait. I've noticed it's less of a wait in the summer time on Sat than when the college kids come back in the fall/winter or Spring.
If it's busy, they'll ask if you're okay splitting up. They'll skip your party if one or two seats open up and give it to someone else. Once a majority of full row is empty, then they'll save your seats and sit your group.
Also has yasai mashi if you ask
No guarantees, unfortunately. Allergen commentary here http://japaneseamericaninboston.blogspot.com/2012/10/everything-you-need-to-know-about-yume.html
No. They serve one type of ramen (which is very good!). The exception is when they do specials so keep an eye on their facebook page for those.
You are if you have a young child! Other than that it's 1 bowl per customer.
pork ramen only, there's a chicken ramen place right down the street, inside the university multi story bldg with eateries on the ground floor
