Medicare does not cover dental unless it is related to a Medicare covered medical problem. Even then, they do not typically pay our practice. There are some supplemental dental policies that could have dental coverage, however, we would be considered out-of-network. You would need to confirm that your policy pays for services performed out-of-network.

There are indeed standard fees for cleaning teeth, examinations, and radiographs. There can be modifications to these fees, as they are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. Small children and patients that have very few will have reductions to their fees. On the other hand, some patients may have gone many years since their last cleaning and they have large accumulations of plaque and tartar, or advanced bone loss around their teeth, or extreme tenderness to cleaning their teeth, and in these circumstances there can be additional time and fees required.
