I remember trying to adopt from this place a while back and one of the girls working the front was very, very nasty to my child and I. She was a heavy-set girl, blonde hair with a short cut and she wore glasses. I will never be able to understand anyone who is proud of being mean to a 6yr old!! But she seemed as if she was prejudice.

Had such a wonderful experience adopting our cat Walter here. So much more affordable than other places I looked at. Customer service and follow up were great and they even sent us a sweet little celebratory cake too!

Posting this review for anyone looking to volunteer. Don't bother. No one here actually answers any questions or seems to read any email correspondences. In both my interactions with email and my phone call conversation it was very clear that this branch of their operations is highly unorganized. Don't waste your time like I did.

Nine years ago my family and I rescued a perfect little girl from a puppy mill. Each day that we had with her was an opportunity to make up for her past trauma. Without any shame or regret I can say that she was spoiled, and pampered each and every day. I fell in love with her from the first time I saw her on bests friend's website! She sadly was euthanized this past weekend. She will be incredibly missed, but no more cancer trying to take over her entire sweet little body. I can't thank Best friends enough for rescuing these innocent fur babies and allowing individuals like myself to forever have precious memories in my heart and soul. Thank you ππππΆ

I have a Australian terrier and Schnauzer mix, she is a very smart, good with children, and very protective, due to my circumstances unable to take care of her
Hi Elly! We don't take pets from the public as we intake from our partner shelters to help create more room. You can contact animal services and they should be able to help!
What gender and do you have pics
They are working almost completely remote now. Call the main number for info.
They do not take rescues from private individuals. Call them and listen to the message for suggestions. Thank you for rescuing that kitten! Maybe you can call various no kill shelters and rescues.
Also try the Atlanta Human Society. A. Cheree Boujx
I adopted a beautiful 13mo. Old plott hound/ pit mix. She is the perfect companion for my Border Collie mix and the 10 yr old man, I have. She is as docile as she is playful! They saved her from a shelter & she came with a bad cold. They spayed, updated her shots and sent her home with a leash, cone and a bunch of medicine. Best $50 I Spent in a long time! They followed up with me a few times to see how she's doing. I highly recommend them!
Are you looking to bring him to best friends ?
What kind of pet do you have Megan Matchett.
Getting the animal fixed. I paid $25. Bc my kitty had been there for 3 months.
I would go in person for something like this if possible.
They pull animals from various shelters. Many wouldn't have had a chance otherwise. Their slogan is "Save Them All." Rest assured they are saving many furry lives.
Is there a discount for fixing stray community cats?
Try Good News, they are a cat specific organization. They can also make recommendations.
We do not have any currently. Most of the animals are mixed breeds.
Call the Atlanta Humane Society, they may take them.
No, they usually pull animals from kill shelters, but have several recommendations. Give them a call.
Yes, Best Friends still having pet adoption. π
Not right now. The best way to see the avialable animals is on petfinder.
They were doing a special promotion when I got him, so he was free. I think normally its $50 -$150 to adopt.
Yes, if they have rescued any lately, they will have kittens. If they currently don't have them, they will have them soon (mother nature and all that π). Check their facebook page of upcoming events!
They have specials all the time like fee waivers or $10 adoptions. If you have a facebook account or could access their Facebook page, it will have the latest fee information. Hope that helps βΊ
You should start by visiting the shelter and see who is there waiting for you. You may fall I love with a doggy or two!
Hi I'm a volunteer for Best Friends. Unfortunately we are not allowed to take surrenders from the public. We try to focus on saving dogs from shelters that have a high kill population. However, there are many places you could that could take your dog, such as: Angels Among Us, Atlanta Humane Society, Homeless Pets Foundation, Paws Atlanta, Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue and Adoption, and FurKids Dog Shelter. If none of these work please contact Best Friends Directly and they will give you more options. Best of luck on finding a new home for your dog! ~Daughter of Chris
Sounds like a pet might not be the best fit for your current financial situation. However I know that Best Friends won't turn down volunteers if you still wanted to help animals in need!
Call Best Friends Atlanta, Furkids, or any other pet adoption center.
Then search their website
They would not take a cat I found.
