The hotel was exactly how I had expected a 123 year old hotel would be...the old part of the hotel and rooms had decorations and building materials that were reminiscent of the old days, but with a touch of modern amenities...the bathroom was nicely updated with modern features and seeing the heated floors was a nice touch. The a/c in the room was nice and cold, and the hotel staff was warm and pleasant! The "old time" door key was a nice touch. The only thing absent in the room was a T.V., but we didn't miss it. The local volunteers who were painting the outside of the hotel were very pleasant and helpful with pointing out where to go in the area and what to see. The local restaurants were very, very good, with a good selection of choices. Now remember, this is a very old hotel!...if you go in realizing that then you will have a pleasant time...we sure did!

So this place is wicked historic cool. Bathroom in original building has heated floor. Mattresses are super comfortable. Amenities are low, like maybe AM coffee. But right in Keosaqua by the river. Beautiful.

Hotel Manning is a lovely historic hotel located in just one of the many charming small towns in Van Buren county. Nice patio to enjoy a cocktail or meal from the food truck.

I felt very privileged to stay here! It is a historical diamond. I loved my room overlooking the river. The room was full of character in the best way-creaky wood floor, antique furnishings and a really comfy seating area looking out to the river. I didn't have a tv and was so happy because it was easy to image I was in a different time. The pillows were very comfortable too. Beautiful!
