I participated in an online auction held by Lincoln Auction generally you enter your HI bid in and the system bids for you nope not here. My high bid was put as the current bid even when there wasn’t even a bid on the lot yet. It totaled to over $700 which I would have been happy to pay If I was Bidding against someone. Then on several of the lots it showed I won He said They weren’t mine because the minimum bid wasn’t meant. The auctioneers set the minimum bid and they put notes in the lot and in the general auction. There were no notes stating any of this. How is that fair to make me pay the maximum amount I would spend for example there was an old bike and my max was $101.00 it was at $35 so instead of going to the next increment the bid went to $101.00. I tried to explain it to the auctioneer but he wasn’t having it. He wanted all the money. That is not fair especially when there is not one thing in there stating that. You can see all the bids and the difference between what the bid was at and what I was To buy it for was close to $400.00 then the auctioneer wants to give me a bad review on Hibid. A story for another day but auctioneers can leave reviews on customers we can’t see and don’t get to tell our side of the story and then we ultimately get rejected from bidding on other auctions because of the bad review. I filed a complaint with hibid and the ISAA with the back up to prove it.
