These guys are S-H-A-D-Y!!!! My rental wound up costing me $700 more because they lied to me throughout the process. Booked through Amazon. Paid for all needed insurance during reservation. While at Newport Mall pickup: 1. I was told I didn’t pay for collision insurance and if I hit another car my car isn’t covered. I thought I had paid for insurance but they said no, I then bought the $30/day insurance. At drop off I discovered they lied and old me insurance so I don’t have to pay deductible if I cause an accident. It was non-refundable. 2. I was up sold unlimited toll charge - $100. They said that if I didn’t take it I would be charged any toll fees plus $50 by Budget for simply using tolled roads. I was the. So I took it, only to be charged tolls at every single tolled highway outside of New Jersey. I was not reimbursed by Budget. 3. At pick up I was told that because I bought insurance I didn’t need to inspect my car for damage, because I had “unlimited damage” (whatever that means). I asked that the attendant come to view the car with me, he declined and said if there is damage to report it to the Budget or Avis car washers outside and they will mark my car slip for the damage. The car was damaged when I went to the car, some pretty prominent scrapes and scratches. I reported to the car washers but they said it wasn’t their job and the car looked fine. At that point I was well behind schedule and so I took pictures of the damage, ensured they were location and time stamped and went on my way. Luckily I wasn’t charged for damage at drop off but I was scolded by a Budget employee. 4. The attendant told me there was half a tank in the car at pick up and to only fill to half a tank at drop off. I didn’t check the slip and took the attendants word for it. The slip said there was a full tank. There was only half a tank in the car when we started the rental. At drop off the attendant pointed me to the gas being too low and was kind enough to let me go fill it up without charging me a late fee. Save yourself the hair you have left on your head and rent through any company but Avis/Budget.

They have a box to return the keys after hours. However, it is highly encouraged for rental trucks and not for cars.
