My wife had a routine exam in May 2021. They got the insurance information disastrously wrong, like a toddler pounded on a keyboard. They waited until January or February of 2022 to tell me that Aetna rejected the claim. (Because the clinic entered it wrong.) I then called the clinic and found out just how bad their data entry had been in our case. It was basically unrecognizable compared to my actual insurance ID. We corrected the information and I asked them to re-submit to Aetna. Heard back later from the clinic that Aetna said too much time had passed and it was now my responsibility. I called Aetna and they couldn't find the claim anywhere, no record of it. Aetna called the clinic and had it paid within a week. Soooooo did the clinic even get the submission right the SECOND time? I'll never know but I'm not impressed. And so much for too much time having passed. The billing lady on the phone also gave me a lot of attitude about the whole thing. She told me my wife didn't bring in her insurance card in May 2021 because they would have had a picture of it if so. Well my wife doesn't have a speech impediment and would never have given anything close to the ID number they had recorded, so card or not, they got it waaaaay wrong. And she always carries her card, thank you very much. Given all the inconsistencies and the fact that Aetna had it sorted within a week... I'll just say that you may get fine eye care here, but stay on top of your billing and be ready for attitude when they get it wrong.

Good location. Staff are polite. Prices seem a little steep, but I only buy glasses once a decade and haven’t really had a reason to shop around.

My 1st time at White Bear Eye Clinic and it was a wonderful experience! The front desk staff was kind and welcoming and Dr. Jaclyn Doffin was very thorough and educated me on her findings. She also found a mistake my last Dr. made. I was wearing one contact lens for mono vision and she went the extra mile to figure out I was wearing the contact in the wrong eye for the past 2 years!! Which solved my dizziness and weird vision. So happy I tried out this Eye clinic. I will keep coming back! I appreciate the extra care! Thank you! Cindy K.

I have been happy with White Bear Eye Clinic. They are much better to deal with than the national chains. They actually answer the phone. They don't inflict an annoying automated phone answering system on me and they don't pester me to join a loyalty club. They provide a good service at a fair price with no hassles. In this day and age, that puts them way ahead of the competition. I wish all businesses operated this way.
