I have rented with AVIS 4 times this year and everytime I bring the rental back I am charged for fuel even though I return it with a full gas tank.

0 stars, always high mileage junk and never clean. AVIS JUST DOESN'T CARE. Terrible loyalty rewards program also.

I usually expect car rental services to hassle me for additional insurance and warnings that make me dread renting a car at all -- as if I were signing my own death warrant. Pleasantly, this past experience with AVIS was flawless. The main positive was my experience at pickup and drop off: both clerks were cordial, respectful, seeking my best interest in addition to the professional service they provided. Even though I have a lot to do, I took time to write this token of appreciation. Keep it up!
