Questions & Answers

What do you mean when you say as soon as possible (ASAP), by my recollection, they were planted all over your cemetery around the first of May and were not completely removed until after June 7th.......over a month.

Those flags was put up by some veteran's group of some kind. Not by the church or any members of the church. And by the way this cemetery is not a public cemetery. These veteran's fought and died for what they believed in. Sad as that may be to some people. Why can't you just be thankful that your ancestors paved a way for you to have a better life. They went through an awful time for years. I am saddened by that as well. But they were brought here, they suffered tremendously and eventually got the freedom they deserved for them and for you. Those men and women who who caused this suffering will meet there maker one day and pay for that awful crime. As for the flags....the church is not responsible. Let the dead have those disrespectful flags. To me it shows all who was responsible for fighting and believing in such a horrible crime upon mankind.

Whose responsible (5W"s) for planting dozens of Confederate flags in your (public) cemetery May/June 2019?

I'm not sure but I do know it wasn't anyone in our church. I was as surprised as anyone. We took them down as soon as possible.
