This is a great area within Central Park. We loved the cute benches and railings made of repurposed branches. The pathway was comfortable and soft under foot, made with compressed wood chips. The views and lookout points all offer different beautiful views and perspectives. The paths are well maintained and we did see some wildlife. (Birds, squirrels) The native landscaping and flowers were lovely. We will definitely be back!

Used to be lovely before the day rat infestation. They are legion. They are winning. Ruin is inevitable.

Quiet and beautiful place. During birds' migration you will see you interesting birds.

A beautiful often closed off the beaten path nature reserve. Although it is not too large of a space, it is tranquil, beautifully designed and worth the stroll. Bring your camera to capture birds, flora and unique vantage points of the New York City skyline.

Not sure how early it opens, I assume at 9 a.m. with all other lawn spaces. It's open until dusk and you'll find the gate open at the entrance
There is no place to surrender a turtle in Central Park. People abandon them sometimes but most perish as they are not used to fending for themselves. Best to try to find someone who will care for them the same way you do
