This is the second time I'm here with my mother and unfortunately the ratio of good employees is less than the ones who don't care. Let's start with the ER both occasions i ask for pillows they don't have, both times i ask for warm blankets they don't have i called for assistance with the call button and after 5 minutes time by me that is not bad timing for response they answer i would let them know what I needed advocating for my mom and the and they would response someone will be in shortly no exaggeration hours pass by and nobody came to help i had to unhook the machine to help my mom myself the alarm when off still nobody came. When they brought her upstairs to the floor cause she had to get admitted , I wasn't allowed in until visiting hours because it was 9:35. However as I'm waiting even though i was in the ER with her translating because she is a non-English speaker i see a person that's coming in to visit her mother go in it wasn't 10 am yet but the employee that denied me entrance allowed this other patient family in, clearly seeing me holding my mom's belongings because I didn't even get a clear bag to put her shoes and clothes. I waited until 10 to finally go to the room assigned to my mom by then had missed the dr and of course the RN wasn't around for me to ask what the plans were. Since the notice the language barrier they wrote it on the board i only seen one person since in the room but wasn't very helpful in regards to my questions she only said im sure they would be around shortly hors and again nothing. The last time she was admitted we asked to spend the night for the same reason making sure she gets what she needs but they said they have employees that can translate but we ask her and she always says the same thing I'm ignored cause they don't understand me. My advice get employees that love to do their jobs and treat patients like you would like to be treated because we all need at some point in our lifetime to be in a hospital. Remember that one bad action of an employee is the memory that the patients and love ones stay with just is what mad them mad after going already through something.

Terrible you could be waiting more then 5-6 hours to be seen in the ER

The best emergency hospital ever been to in a Long time

Horrible emergency room, from the rude staff to the ridiculous wait times. Better off going to either Hartford or New Haven hospitals even though they are larger the y have more doctors to help you. 5 hour wait to be seen for under 30mins after a car accident.

It is. No appointment needed
No..
The wait is not that long.
Yes
You have to call the midstate medical center and ask them that same question you're asking me. My sincere apologies but I don't know the answer to your question.

Valet is free
Yes you have to request it
I do not about that Place
Not sure of the starting hours but they will tell you hours are over at 8 PM. Most nurses will let you stay longer if you are not a disturbance to anyone, including the person you are visiting. The patient comes first at MidState and they will enforce the rule if they see that the patient needs that time.
