Incredible facility with knowledgeable and dedicated therapists and staff
Gerald Cardini
Excellent facility for anyone needing rehabilitation services. The staff is kind, patient, and supportive, and the surroundings bright with lots of windows and a beautiful garden/patio outside. Not “sterile” feeling like a typical hospital. This was my Mom’s “playground” when she needed help with her mobility, and now my sister is a patient. Perhaps one day when I am old-er and gray-er I may need their services, and how comforting to know I wouldn’t have to question the quality of their care. Thank you to the staff at Gaylord for helping those in need of care.

During the lowest point of my life in 2020 while fighting Covid 19 the Gaylord team was able to give me my life back and teach me to walk again. They are a wonderful collection of healthcare hero's dedicated to their patients and their families.

Gaylord took fantastic care of my Dad after he suffered from a stroke, he is now home and continuing to go to PT, but he’s walking! Think possible!

The short answer is yes. However, rehab doctors are not the go to for all of the care! It is a team effort. This response is from one of our rehab physicians at Gaylord. Rehab doctors can help with exercise and joint protections: · Patients with joint hypermobility should be referred for physical and occupational therapy evaluation and management. · A low-impact muscle-strengthening program for joint protection and appropriate use of assistive devices (such as a cane or lightweight collapsible walking stick; or lightweight orthoses, such as braces or splints) can be of particular benefit. · Patients can take a number of precautions and other actions in their daily activities, including measures to optimize function, relieve symptoms, and prevent injury, in addition to participating in physical and occupational therapy. These measures should be individualized according to the patient’s clinical manifestations. Outpaitent Appointments at Gaylord: 203-284-2888
