It is a friendly country kitchen, a classic small town greasy spoon. Good breakfasts. I'd take your date to Dunkin Donuts if that description gave you even the least bit of trepidation.
Because you're supposed to eat a burger there
Breakfast until grits, biscuits and gravy or 11 a.m when daily lunch special starts, whichever is earlier. Hamburgers as early as 5 o'clock in the morning if that's what you want for breakfast, too.
