Dr. Embry was distant and dismissive. She did little to investigate my symptoms and did not provide a diagnosis or any follow up plan for obtaining one. Instead she suggested that I take Ibuprofen every day for the rest of my life and risk kidney failure. They overbilled my insurance company and sent me a hefty bill for what the insurance didn't pay. I tried to complain, was referred to the office manager who does not return calls. I requested the office manager's superior, and was told it was the physician about whom I needed to complain. They clearly do not feel they are accountable to anyone.

I sought out to find a doctor in the North Augusta area and found Dr. David Jester. At first he seems to be a good knowledgeable doctor and saw you in a timely fashion but the wait time has gotten totally ridiculous. My appointment was set for 3:30 and I've waited for more than an hour and a half to two hours before he even entered into my room. This is unacceptable. I understand that he has other patients but consideration is definitely due here. Sad to say I will be on search of another doctor. I feel this is taking advantage of people's time.

My Daughter made an appointment on behalf of my wife, for preventative care lab tests that were requested by our insurance company. At the time of making the appointment we specifically told the consultant that the appointment was for preventative care lab work required by our insurance company and that all tests need to be coded as preventative care for our insurance to cover 100% of the costs. My Wife showed up for her appointment. She Talked to the admitting nurse and handed her the paperwork from our insurance company and pointed out the line on the form that indicated the lab work needed and the fact that this was for preventative care. This fact was acknowledged by the staff. We received an EOB that showed additional services and different coding for the lab tests. My Wife went back to the clinic to request they correct the over site. The clinic contacted the doctor and then informed my Wife that the doctor (Dr. Hewitt) said he had asked her 3 health related questions so the visit was no longer considered preventative in nature. At no time did the doctor indicate that he was changing the scope or intent of the requested services. At no time did anyone in the clinic indicate that any additional charges would be incurred. At no time did my wife know that her preventative care request was changed. All changes were made without her notice or consent. We consider this to be unethical medical practice, that defrauds both the insurance company and the patient. In any other contract for services the seller is required to notify the customer of any changes to the contract. If this were a used car salesman, this may be considered bait-and-switch; or if it were a roofer it may be considered padding the bill.

Every time I have my appointment there - waiting time is at least 1 hour! I had times when I needed to be seen same day and if my doctor (Dr Fallaw) was out, I could not go and see someone else. Plus...I came to the dr with 3 issues...none of them got resolved. "ah, you might be having a chronic fatigue syndrome!" Yeah, easier to label with something like that than investigate deeper. I switched to the Central location - they are much better
