It just depends on if you are going to use Craig Air Center or Sky harbor and they both do a great job. I don’t think they have self serve fuel. About 15-20 minutes from downtown. A few restaraunts close by. Jax beach is about 20 minutes away. The controllers are alright.

The guy that took me up for a tour is actually a flight instructor, so yes you can learn to fly there.
