This place is a mess. Plenty of provocative, disrespectful lowlife folks gets attracted by this joint. Many look for fights, club is hot and gross. The staff and bouncer are a perfect fit to that! Highly recommend to avoid for everyone with more than three braincells.

Usually if my friends and I decide to go out on a Friday/Saturday night, we go to Gotham because that’s what we know. This Saturday we decided to go give Rize a try, just to try something new. Big mistake. It was DIRTY, and filled with a bunch of people who don’t care about anyone else. Couldn’t enjoy myself because I was too busy worried about being pushed and shoved the whole time by overbearing men. This made me realize how amazing Gotham is. After a couple hours of going through this legitimate torture at Rize we decided we would go to Gotham. As soon as I walked in I felt so much more safe and comfortable. The bouncers, bartenders, and staff are just the best and never ever give a problem. Always our top place to go to have a good time, and definitely the best 18+ spot in new haven!!!!
