They are open everyday. There are probably no slots open for the selected group size. For example I found slots for groups of 1 and 4 but not 2 and 3 for Thursday. Try playing with the group size +1/2 and see if that helps.

I don't think they sell gift certificates but you should call them to confirm. It is difficult to get through so it might take you a while.

We called at 3 and got a 9 PM reservation on Monday during Thanksgiving. They seated a few walk-ins as well but if you can get through I'd say try to get the reservation.

Be nice to the hostess, give your name and go for a drinks / dinner somewhere nearby - plenty of top places. Once they message you (could be hours) be right there. While highly touristy now, the bar is still worth it. Great service and great cocktails.

You have to call at exactly 3 pm on the night you want to go. It can take a very long time to get through. When they answer, they will let you know what times they have available. It's worth the effort!

They start answering at 3pm. But only one call can get through each time. Took 2 people and 40 + repeated dials before one of our calls went through to make a reservation. They only take same day reservations.

There is the hot dog joint you walk into. They could hangout in there. PDT is 21+.

Its casual but come in good clothes too. Something youd wear when you go outside rather than what u wear in the house right before bed

No charge. Just pick up the phone in the phone booth and they'll let you in. It's very small and folks up quickly, so get there earlier on or be prepared for a wait. They will take your number and may remember to give you a call when they have to for you.

Usually when the line is beeping it means someone is on the other phone line already, which means you will have to keep calling again and again till you get through. One time, I called 56 times, by calling and hanging up when I heard the beeping tone, until I finally heard the dial tone and got through to them.
