It would have been nice if I would have been informed that you are remodeling your hotel. It's interesting that you expect your guests to put up with a dirty construction filled hotel and never informed me that your hotel was under construction. If you would have I would have chosen another hotel. No notification of this. At the very least there should have been some kind of discount to put up with the sloppy surroundings. Also my lamp didn't work in my room and there was a hole in the wall where the bed is that you could stick your fingers into. Regarding the finish on the walls it looked like a 5-year-old did the repair work with joint compound and textured material. The clock did not work in the workout room the clock in my room didn't work. I also made the reservations a couple of months ago and reserved one room that should have been handicap accessible. I was assured of that and I double checked and called back later to make sure that one of the room was handicap accessible. However when I get to the Holiday inn Express no such rooms were available and they didn't know anything about it. In general I would say it was the worst stay I ever had in in a hotel and was run very unprofessionally!

We had our wedding in the area and set up a hotel block for our guests here. If our block got fully booked, our room would be complimentary. A little over a month before the wedding, our family and friends tried to book a room in our block but they told us the hotel said our block was full, all 20 rooms. My wife called and checked and the hotel told her it was indeed full. No big deal, our room is complimentary and we set up a block at a different hotel. But when we arrived to check in the person at the front desk told us our block did not get filled and we had to pay for our room. Obviously we were very confused since we and our guests were told it was full. The person at the front desk was very rude to us and not at all helpful when trying to figure what happened. The room we stayed in wasn't even that great or barely stocked with anything. After the weekend we started talking with the manager, Nancy, to find out what went wrong. She didn't seem to care. Because we didn't get the name of the employee who told us or our guests our block was full she couldn't do anything to help make up for the total miscommunication by her staff. Not a great way to be treated after our wedding. Would not recommend staying here, you'll be better off and better treated at any other hotel in the area. Even after responding to my review, they still did not own up to their mistake and was just making excuses. I don't feel like we were failed. We were failed. Again, don't bother with this hotel.

Damp and smelly rooms. Our family got 3 rooms for 2 nights. First room for one couple smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. They easily changed rooms and were upgraded and that room was ok. Our room smelled like a frat house. The carpeting was damp and smelled of stale bear and cigarettes. Fridge was broken and leaking so we requested a replacement. Since it was in evening we were told that maintenance was gone for the day and we were out of luck. The second day we requested a different room and we’re placed on the 3rd floor which was better. Needless to say we were very disappointed. Have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in the past with no issues. I think the place should be closed down and demolished.

Nancy at Holiday Inn Express made it so easy to book a block of rooms fairly close to our wedding date after plans changed significantly in response to the pandemic. Everything was clean and comfortable and staff were accommodating. They had strict safety and cleanliness protocols that made us feel at ease. Nancy and the rest of the staff also helped us surprise our guests with welcome bags and worked with us to figure out guests who were part of our event but had blocked outside of the room block. We very much enjoyed our experience working with the Holiday Inn Express!
