Cool place to visit and see all the model ship kits they have to offer. Some are very intricate and would take a lot of time and patience to assemble. We expected to see more gifts.

Amazing detail on the ship models, and you can even watch someone working on models in the back room. Great place to visit for anyone interested in model ships. You can purchase completed models, basic to complex build-your-own kits, and individual model or decorative pieces.

Aside from the fantastic time one can have simply wondering around the shop, the ideas and tips you can garner from the staff are invaluable. Whenever my wife and I head to Bar Harbor we stop in and I drool over the display models. As to the kits, they are superior and well appointed. The inventory of parts is also terrific. But again, unlike online shopping, the help one can get from the hands on staff if wonderful. No question is too trivial and the answers come from people who have been there done that.

Good morning..... In your records or from Boucher did either company build a model boat called "Amazon" for a client who owned the real boat back in around 1942? It is a 33" lobster boat that was used in the Coast Guard Auxillary? Thx, D. Jeffries

We don't have records from 1942 that validate a custom model of the Amazon that was made by Boucher.

Hello Years ago I purchased a set of plans and book attached to the model of the “Smuggler”. My question is how does this boat compare to the schooner “Alice Wentworth”? Since I live in Wells I know the story. Also since I already have these plans I

Deryl since the Alice of Wentworth is not one of our kits we are unable to compare her to our Smuggler kit we make. Once you know your scale we will be happy to help with fittings and rigging supplies. Best of luck
