the sushi was much better than expected, however, the restaurant needs a serious cleaning. Front window is full of dust, dead flies, the floors are gross, crud in the corners etc. The entire place needs to be scrubbed down and possibly change the decor to something that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal. The place has zero atmosphere and they really need to address the room temperature beer that is served.

I've been here twice now and can't say I have any gripes. The food was excellent, the service was decent, and the ambience wasn't bad. I recommend giving them a try if you want Japanese cuisine in Garden City. Oh, and if you have a child that wants to try sushi. My son loves the Japanese soda.
